One whole wall is tempered glass, floor to ceiling, and the bed faces it. No getting up, no boots, no standing in the cold at 2am. The sky is already in front of you. Six domes, each sleeping two, each with a private bathroom a short walk away. The glass shells arrive for the 2027 season.

Nobody shares a bathroom and nobody queues in a hallway, which at this size is unusual. A full shared kitchen, a wraparound deck, and the option to take the whole building. Straight onto Wayne County trail and OHV routes from the property. Check-in 4 PM, out 10 AM, self-serve, no front desk.

None of this is built. A contrast circuit of sauna, cold plunge and open-air soaking tubs is planned for the 2027 season, outdoors at 7,000 feet under a certified dark sky. Reservations open long before it exists.
What is plannedWe are rebuilding this property around one thing: one of the darkest skies in the country. Domes with a curved glass wall facing it, six bedrooms below sandstone cliffs, and a great deal of quiet. Everything else gets out of the way.

Capitol Reef has been a Gold-tier International Dark Sky Park since 2015. Torrey, Utah was certified a Dark Sky Community in January 2018, the first national park gateway town in the United States to earn it.
Which means the lighting protection does not stop at the park boundary. It carries on past it, into the valley, over the property. The darkest, clearest nights fall between November and March.

Luxe Den Capitol Reef is a design-led lodging and glamping property in Teasdale, Utah, minutes from Capitol Reef National Park. It has 6 rooms, each with a private bath, plus tempered-glass geodesic domes built for the night sky. Check-in is self-serve and The Lodge has a full shared kitchen.

Capitol Reef National Park is a certified International Dark Sky Park and Torrey, Utah is a certified International Dark Sky Community, so this is some of the darkest night sky in the country. Luxe Den Capitol Reef sits at about 7,000 feet with very little light and very little sound around it, which is the whole reason the domes are glazed toward the sky.
